01When is the best time for a survey?+

Cooler weather is normally best because a useful temperature difference is needed between indoors and outdoors. Wind, rain and strong sunlight can also affect interpretation.

02Can thermal imaging confirm moisture or mould?+

It can identify temperature patterns consistent with thermal bridging, air leakage or possible moisture, but it does not by itself confirm the cause. Moisture readings, opening-up or further investigation may be recommended.

03Does a thermal survey provide a U-value?+

Not automatically. Quantitative in-situ U-value measurement is a separate service. We can provide conventional U-value calculations where the construction build-up is known.

04Can it be combined with an air-pressure test?+

Yes. Thermal imaging and pressure testing can work well together when conditions allow, helping to locate air-leakage paths as well as broader fabric weaknesses.
