Airborne sound insulation testing
Airborne testing assesses how effectively separating walls and floors reduce sound transfer between adjoining spaces. The measured performance is compared with the standard applicable to the building type and form of construction.
Impact sound testing
Where separating floors require assessment, impact testing measures the transmission of structure-borne sound using calibrated equipment. Results are recorded clearly for the project team and Building Control submission.
New-build and conversion projects
Testing is commonly required for flats, attached houses, residential conversions and rooms for residential purposes. We help establish the test scope, suitable sample locations and readiness requirements before attendance.
Support when a test does not pass
A failed result needs a construction-led response. We can help review junctions, flanking paths, penetrations, floor finishes and wall or ceiling build-ups, then coordinate a repeat test after remedial work.
